Word.

I laughed scrolling back through some of my old posts. The one titled “boo boos” really got me. His list of boo boos is never ending at this point. I was chit chatting with a co-worker last week. He was telling me how his son had came home from day care with a black eye. I then opened my big mouth and said I couldn’t think of a time that Jacob had hurt himself THAT bad. Saturday on my way home from work I get a call from my mom. She said, “Greta got him”. Luckily he’s had enough spills that I have learned not to freak out easily. I said “Okay. What do you mean she ‘got him’?” My mom then proceeds to tell me that Jacob had been sitting on Greta’s back while she was lying down and was riding her like a horse. Bouncing up and down. The whole get up. Well apparently at some point Greta decided enough was enough and jumped up to get away. My mom said she couldn’t tell if Greta had bit him or if she had scratched him. Either way he had some pretty nice sized welts right at the corner of his eye and extending across his forehead. You could see scratches/scrapes but none were deep enough to break skin. Needless to say it looked bad… really bad. It eventually turned into a black eye. Yes I know insert foot next time right?

Oh and in case you were wondering Greta is the Doberman in one of the pictures I posted yesterday. Bubby is in love with that dog. She does really well for the most part in putting up with his nagging.

I had my yearly doctor visit yesterday, the one that all women love. My visits are a little bit different now though. After I had Jacob I went in for my 6-week check up and they did my routine exam. This was in July of 2007. Well around the end of October ‘07 they called me and said my results had came back as abnormal. The nurse said it showed I had mild dysplasia. In November ‘07 I had a procedure done were they go in with a scope and look at the dysplasia. They also did a biopsy at that time. From what my doctor saw under the scope he said it was a very small area and did not look alarming. He thought that the pinching of the biopsy would cause it to heal. The biopsy came back clear so I was told wait 6 months and recheck. So in May of 2008 I went in and they retested. It came back showing the dysplasia was still there. I was told wait another 6 months and then we’ll go from there. So that brings us to yesterday. I should know in about a week what the results are. My doctor said if it is still saying mild dysplasia then we will just continue with the 6-month checks. Anything more severe and we will look at the next step, which would probably be freezing my cervix.

Truthfully I am not concerned by it any more. When I first got the results a year ago I freaked of course. I did a lot of reading online and from what I have read mild dysplasia itself is very slow progressing. That is if it even progresses. The best part is I show no signs of HPV, which is the leading cause of it. So for now I am just keeping it in check!

So I have lots of ideas for future blog posts.

I want to introduce my other “children”: Binks, Sandy, Gator, and Sedona. That is the order that I acquired them so I think that is how I’ll post them.

I also will be updating my “blogs I read”. I plan on commenting on some of them, as there are several that have really touched my heart and inspired me.

Last note. My work doesn’t like blogger. Well not my work just my work computer. I keep getting a page telling me my cookies are not enabled. I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of to get them enabled and nothing is working. So like a faithful blogger I am typing this up in word, sending it to my yahoo e-mail, and then pasting it from another computer!
